This is just a fun video about the Central Dogma of DNA.

Things to pay attention to as you watch:
What are the steps of the central dogma?
What are the differences between RNA and DNA?

Transcription and Translation

Here's a video of Transcription and Translation in the cell.
It's good for an introduction and review.

Macromolecule Picture Book

We have a project every unit in 10th grade biology.  For unit 1 we made picture books of the 4 main macromolecules.  These are 2 examples of Macromolecule Picture Books.  On the left you see a title pages with a star to keep the student's anonymity.  On the right is the first page of the book describing a macromolecule, the 4 main types and definitions of monomer and polymer with pictures.

Gary Lock

"A good education is a universal right. It must never depend on
circumstances of economic or social standing. Achievement gaps reflect
an injustice we must not condone. It is our responsibility to close the gaps.

We’ll do that not just by identifying the disparities, but also by
targeting the students and schools that need our help. And we’ll close
the gaps by engaging our schools and communities to step forward and
work harder." -Gary Locke
